About Us Welcome To Arctic Ice Alaskan Malamutes We have always loved the arctic breeds. Owen especially loves the big doggies, so of course the  Malamute  was in our future. We started with a group of 4 CKC registered Malamutes that we were lucky enough to find available from a retiring recreational musher.  We were very happy to find out that these dogs were based on the famous Keidun  bloodline of the late Maxing Keith.  We are determined to have the healthiest bloodline we can so we are vigilant with out hip and eye checks as well as other health issues with this breed. Our babies are available to only the  RIGHT  homes. In the right home, they are the most amazing family companions. Over the years we learned many lessons. Stopping escapes, training, health care issues etc.  We enjoyed the challenge so much we decided to become more involved with this very special breed. Our ideal would be a strong healthy line of dual purpose Malamutes for use in the show ring and on sled or skijoring. As Malamutes are so affectionate and loving we wanted other families to be able to experience and share their lives with these magnificent animals. I'll let you in on a little secret...these are not dogs, but 4 legged furry family members who just want & need to be with their people.     I entered my first dog show competition in 2005, and it was an eye opener.  There was so much to learn, but the upshot of this experience is why we recommend obedience training for our puppies and new owners.   Our boys and girls are now learning to pull on sled.  What a wonderful and exciting experience.  Beware: once you try dog sledding you could be hooked for life......  We have just put up our website.
